If you can chain and double crochet - this is a perfect pattern for Beginner Crocheters and beyond, who want to explore the Corner to Corner Crochet technique.
Pattern Description:
A super simple pattern to follow to create a chunky cushion cover, using the corner to corner (C2C) technique.
What is C2C? Corner to corner, it is made up of lots of crocheted blocks which are worked diagonally.
Each block is a cluster of 3 Chain, 3 Double Crochet.
C2C is worked from one corner to another – this is also how you read the pattern/graphs. Start from the bottom left hand side.
Follow the graph in a diagonal ‘zig zag’ motion.
Each diagonal line of blocks represents one row. This makes it simple to design your own, I have included some grids on this guide for you to have a go.
Different coloured blocks represent different colours of yarn. The work will increase until the bottom is complete and then work up, until you get to the top left hand corner and then decrease until complete.
You will need:
Four 100g Balls of Chunky Yarn - We used Pato Chunky
One 18”/45cm Square Cushion Filling
Hook Size: 7mm - or refer to yarn label
Tension: Each C2C square will measure approximately ½ inch/1.25cm
Measure as you go and adjust the pattern if needed.
